If AC/DC or Iron Maiden come to mind, you’re a little off the subject. While out running errands, I happened upon (or I guess I should say “wandered into’) an industrial site. I took a wrong turn, which ended up being a very cool place to photograph.
A. Finkl and Sons makes and forges steel in the city of Chicago. The company is committed to improving Chicago by reducing its solid waste output. 99.7% of the solid waste it produces is reused in the plant or repurposed. I found the varied shapes and textures of the metals to be attractive. Below are photographs of portions of their recycling yard.
